OPIA Webinar: “Hiring in Ontario is Changing. Are You Ready?”

October 28 @ 8:00 am - 1:30 pm

The Ontario Printing and Imaging Association (OPIA) will host a free webinar on Monday, October 28, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. EDT, titled “Hiring in Ontario is Changing. Are You Ready?”

Led by Nicole Biros-Bolton, employment and human rights lawyer and founder of Bird Bolt Law, this one-hour session will help employers understand and prepare for the new requirements under Ontario’s Bill 149.

The Working for Workers Four Act (Bill 149) introduces major updates that affect all employers in Ontario. These include the requirement to post pay ranges in job ads, eliminate “Canadian experience” requirements, disclose AI use in hiring, and ensure clear follow-up communication with candidates.

“This legislation reshapes how organizations recruit and engage candidates,” said Nicole Biros-Bolton. “Employers will need to review their policies, postings, and hiring processes to ensure compliance and maintain fair, transparent practices.”

The webinar will break down what’s changing, what it means for your business, and practical steps to stay compliant. A live Q&A will follow the presentation.

Who should attend:

1. Business owners and executives in Ontario
2. Out-of-province companies with Ontario-based employees
3. HR leaders and hiring managers
4. Payroll and compliance professionals
5. Anyone involved in recruiting or setting hiring policies
